For most of us girls, the idea of shaving our faces comes with a frown and a very questionable expression. But ladies, I might just change your life...

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment method used by Doctors and Aestheticians too shave of all peach fuzz, bum fluff, facial hair or whatever you like to call it, while also taking care of all the dead skin cells at the same time.

But why do it?

No only will you be a hairless goddess of Mount Pillow but it also holds tremendous benefits for your skin. It provides your skin with a more healthy glow by removing old dead skin (eeuw), leaving your looking dewy instead of dead.

It is also suitable for most skin types. The only skin type that I will not use this on is for someone with an extremely sensitive skin or if you suffer from a bad case of Cystic Acne - Then I would recommend you see a professional instead of doing it by yourself at home.

Benefits:

* Glowing healthy skin? Hella yeah! Where can I sin up?!

* A great method of removing dead and dry skin.

* Allows your pores to breathe as there is no more hair to trap dirt.

* Contrary to believe, it will NOT give you thick and dark hair aka you will not have a beard at the end of the day!

* Minimal pain and redness during and after the treatment - For me it is always a no pain kinda treatment!

* Can I get a hell yeah for smooth and clear make up application.

* Less break outs is definite guarantee.

Side Effects:

* You may cut yourself if you do not us the correct gliding method.

* Some may experience slight burning sensation but if we can survive period pain I am pretty sure we can survive this one.

* Your skin will be sensitive to sun light so please please PLEASE apply an SPF afterwards.

What will you need?

You need:

* A mirror

* Good lighting

* A razor (facial razor or bikini razor) or a scalpel which is mostly used.

* Toner or cleanser ( I usually use Micellar Cleansing Water)

* Cotton Pads

* Facial Oil and/or SPF

How do I do it?

PLEASE NOTE that I am NOT a professional in any way and I am NOT trained in this. This is simply my method of doing it that works for me.

We will start off by cleaning the skin with our cotton pads and toner or cleanser. This is to ensure that there is no excess oil on the face or any make up. We are going to remove the top layer of dead skin and therefore want our working environment to be clean.

Holding the razor/blade/scalpel at a more or less 45 degree angle your pull your skin taught while gliding the razor your skin. By pulling the skin tight you ensure that there is no bumps and in this way ensure a even and smooth skin. This will also lessen your chances of cutting yourself.

By adding slight pressure to the blade you will begin to remove all those nasties (dead skin and peach fuzz) that we did not invite to the party. But be sure not to add too much pressure as this will then result in you ending up with stitches instead of glowing skin.

After you cleared all those nasty bits go ahead and clean your face with a new and clean cotton pad with some toner or cleanser to ensure he work art goes on as planned. Then you should go ahead and put on some of that facial oil if you are on your way to bed and if not be sure to add some SPF to that beautiful face!

This has been such an amazing exfoliating method fr me as it suits my laziness by allowing me to only be done once a month or even once in two months as the hair grows back very slow.

I am such a major fan of this, it ain't even possible.

If you need more visual help with this be sure to check out my video on YT!

Thanks again so much for reading!

Lots of love,

Lelani
