I clean my braces

As a newly reformed brace face I thought to myself (please don't hate me for this):

"I don't like to floss, also I never do, but I have to take care of my teeth now even more, because I don't want brace stains when I get them removed" so I went to the shop and as a believer of 'I am sure I can find it cheaper' , I went and bought a cheap Dental Pressure Floss. Sounds weird I know.

To my surprise I found one made by a brand that I have used before. Way back when it was cool to have your hair in a million twists made by the Igia Twist 'n Braid.

I am talking about this baby over here:

I still remember the days of getting my hair suck in that thingy.

So I decided since I know the brand I am gonna take this Dental Flosser and put it in my shopping cart to take home.

I present to you the Igia Pressure Water Flosser.

First off everything look great, it has nice packaging that shows you exactly how the product look, so you know what to expect.

I was so excited to try out this thingy-ma-bob so I jumped right into it and opened up, read the instructions to ensure I do everything correct. Scared that this might be a little complicated, new technology.

So I learnt it is pretty simple to use and will not blast away a tooth while using.

The instructions are as follows:

1. Fill the base tube with either mouth wash or water.

2. Close the base tube by placing the sprayer part on top.

3. Insert the sprayer part in your mouth, onto the area you want to floss and press the big, very obvious green button.

There you have it.

Now that you understand how to use it, it is time to get down and dirty with the critique.

Product packaging:

The packaging is a very plain and simple box with a nice picture of what the product looks like and what your teeth might look like after the use.

Product handling:

The use of the product is very easy and simple to use. The instructions make it really easy to understand as it is simple and clear. You basically fill it up, stick it in your mouth and press the button. It does not get easier than this.

Now for my honest honest opinion about this product:

This flosser is great for me, who is a brace face, as it cleans out the little bite sized food I carry around in between my teeth and my braces after eating. But as for actually flossing in between my teeth I would not say that it did a particularly good job.

I asked my love to also test it out with me as he does not have train rails attached to his teeth. He did not find the product to floss in between his teeth and had to go hands deep with actual floss anyway.

What do I think is the problem?

* Because of the small tube containing the water/ mouthwash it takes about 5 squirts to go all empty so you have to refill it every 5 presses of the button.

* Also the pressure of the sprayer is not quite enough for actually cleaning your teeth. It is great for cleaning out the food stuck in my braces but actually working as a flosser I would not recommend.

So to sum it up, I would not recommend buying this product as a flosser. BUT if you are looking for something to clean your braces with, then I would recommend it although just using regular floss will also do the trick.

Thank you so much for reading!!

Lots of love,
