Hello everybody.
Hope life is treating you fair. This is my first ever blog post, YAY, so I decided why not get down and personal and tell you a bit more about myself before I start running away with all my crazy ideas for this blog.
I was born in Witbank on June 1st 1994 and lived there for a little while. I was blessed with a younger sister in that time, who looks almost nothing like me, (it's always been a joke between us about who was the one that was adopted) and since I met this amazing person there was no more need for my imaginary friend as I now had a real and my very first friend for life.

In the year 2000 we moved to Pretoria where I spent the rest of my life growing up and becoming the person I am today. Made some friends, lost some friends, learnt lessons, laughed, cried and most of all learnt about none other than myself. After a series of unfortunate events (losing family members, getting my heart broken, etc.), I went on one of those very cliche adventures that they would call "the path on which you find yourself". And as the story goes, I went through this dark path and find-the-light-kinda thing. Which I did. Made another few friends for life, and we are kinda like a really small gang, and most important of all met the love of my life, best friend and roommate.
I studied Audiology at the University of Pretoria (2013-2016) and got a degree in B.Communication Pathology: Audiology. As an Audiologist I work with people who suffer from Vestibular problems (Balance) and also hearing difficulties.
I worked at F.H. Odendaal Hospital in Modimolle in 2017 where I completed my community service. This was a year of self exploration as this was the first time that I moved out on my own into an unknown town filled with strangers. I learnt a lot about a whole bunch of different cultures, met the most amazing people and learnt to stand on my own two feet as this was the first time that I actually had to adult.
2017 had a lot of ups and a lot of downs. Mostly ups as I had a good support network which I can call my unrelated family. I was also diagnosed with severe depression and after some life changing alterations that had to be made and an amazing support system I got back my feet and decided that I will not let this get me down (As I have always believed I am a strong person).
In 2018 I started working at a private practice, moved back to Pretoria into a very cosy apartment with the love of my life. It has not been easy but definitely worth it.
So let me take you on this journey with me through the ups, the downs, the DIY's, the reviews and the just because's.
Lots of love
Lelani
